Shopify SEO Consultant to Grow Your Store’s Traffic & Sales
I help Shopify brands grow organic revenue from Google and AI search, working on everything that moves it: collections built around how buyers search, product pages that convert, technical fixes in the theme and product data that reaches Shopping and AI assistants.
Where Shopify stores lose organic revenue
Most of the issues I find on Shopify come from the theme and the app stack, which means one template change can fix the same problem on thousands of URLs at once.
Several URLs for one product
Many themes link products through their collection path, and variants add their own parameters, so internal links point at URLs that only canonicalise back to the real product page.
Tags and filters eating crawl budget
Tag pages, filter parameters and sort orders create thousands of near-identical collection URLs that Google crawls instead of the pages you want ranked.
Collections built for merchandising only
Collections are usually set up around the menu, with generic titles and no copy, while buyers search for combinations like material, style or use that have no page to land on.
Apps working against each other
Review, SEO and upsell apps add scripts, duplicate structured data and leftover code after uninstall, which slows product pages and sends Google mixed signals.
Shopify fixes some things, your theme decides the rest
Shopify handles a few SEO basics for you and locks a few others, such as the /products/ and /collections/ paths. Generic SEO advice often ignores that line, so recommendations end up asking for changes the platform doesn’t allow while the editable parts stay untouched.
I start from what the platform lets you change, then decide what to fix in the theme, in Shopify settings, in an app or in the product data itself.
Shopify SEO services built around revenue
I can own your whole organic strategy or focus on the areas where your store has the most room to grow, so a new brand, a migration and a mature store with a content team each get a different scope.
01Organic growth strategy
Keyword and demand research on what your buyers search before they purchase, competitor gaps and a roadmap that puts the pages closest to revenue first.
02Collections that match buyer searches
Collections and sub-collections for the categories, materials, styles and uses people search for, with copy and internal links that help them rank and sell.
03Product pages that convert
Titles, descriptions and metafields for the details buyers compare, plus UX and CRO advice on layout, reviews and trust signals so organic visitors turn into orders.
04Content that supports sales
Guides, comparisons and buying advice tied to your collections and products, written for the questions buyers ask on Google and in AI assistants.
05Technical SEO
Indexation, duplicate product and variant URLs, tag and filter pages, structured data, redirects, Core Web Vitals and app scripts, fixed in the theme or setting where they live.
06International growth with Markets
Subfolder or domain setup, hreflang, translated handles and metadata, and prices and availability that match each market’s search results and feeds.
07Migration to Shopify
URL mapping and redirects from WooCommerce, Magento or a custom build, with content carried over and checks before and after launch to protect your traffic.
08GEO and Merchant Center
Visibility for your brand and products in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, plus product data synced through the Google & YouTube app with titles, attributes and identifiers fixed at the source, so AI assistants, free listings and Shopping show your products accurately.
From store access to shipped fixes
Access and context
A short questionnaire on your catalogue, markets and goals, plus collaborator access to Shopify and read-only access to Search Console, analytics and Merchant Center.
Audit and priority list
A crawl of the store, a review of the theme code and app stack, and a list of issues scored by impact and effort.
Fixes on a duplicate theme
Changes are built and tested on an unpublished copy of your theme, either by me or alongside your developers, before anything goes live.
Review and next focus
Each month closes with organic clicks, impressions and revenue by collection, and the focus we agree for the next round.

I moved from agency work to independent consulting over four years ago, and since then I’ve worked with DTC brands and medium and large ecommerce businesses. The approach on this page comes from that work, across SEO, Merchant Center and AI search.
Questions Shopify brands ask first
We already use an SEO app. Why would we need a consultant?+
SEO apps help with repetitive jobs like bulk meta tags, alt text and adding schema. They can’t decide how your collections should be structured, which URLs Google should crawl or how the theme links products, and part of the audit is checking that the apps you run aren’t duplicating or conflicting with the theme.
Can you remove /products/ and /collections/ from our URLs?+
No, Shopify sets those prefixes and they can’t be changed. They also aren’t what holds stores back in search; the handles after the prefix, the internal links and the content on the page are where the work goes.
Do we need Shopify Plus for this?+
No. The theme code, robots.txt.liquid, metafields and redirects I work with are available on standard Shopify plans as well as Plus.
Will you edit our theme code?+
If you want me to, yes, always on a duplicate theme that you review before publishing. If you have a developer or agency, I write the changes as specs for them and check the result before it goes live.
We’re moving to Shopify. When should SEO get involved?+
Before the new store’s structure is final. URL mapping, collection setup and redirects are much easier to get right while the theme is still being built than to correct after launch.
Do you work with stores selling in several countries?+
Yes. I work with clients globally and set up Shopify Markets so each country gets the right URLs, hreflang, language and prices, both on the site and in Merchant Center.
How soon will we see results?+
Crawl and indexation fixes tend to show up first, once Google recrawls the affected pages. New and rewritten collection pages usually need a few months of data before the effect on rankings and revenue reads clearly.
